FALL WORKSHOP DAY

Come to our spacious woodworking shop, filled with everything you’ll need to build your choice of three boards. You’ll make three spalted maple (charcuterie/serving board) or hard maple cutting boards of your choice. Each board will be approx. 6” wide x 14” long. 

During the class you will sand, drill and finish your boards. You can also add your own touches by stamping initials or words on the boards for a special holiday gift for friends and family!

Additional boards may be made (time permitting) for $12 each.

Instructor:  Jane Schlabaugh, Schlabaugh & Sons Woodworking

Create your own earrings using combinations of wood, metal and leather. You will begin by selecting a pair of dangle earring findings, then add features until you get the look you want. You will be able to cut your own shapes from leather scraps, select from a variety of wooden pieces, use natural dyes to stain your pieces, and add any final touches. Choose from a wide selection of materials and have a great time! All materials are included in the workshop.

$25 for two pairs of earrings

Discover the beauty and fun in cake decorating! Learn how to build and ice a semi-naked cake, add a drizzle topping, and prepare and apply florals as decoration. You will watch demonstrations of each step of the decorating process and then practice each step on your own cake: cake-building, proper icing technique, drizzle application and floral application. You will learn how to prepare flowers for cake application and about arrangement techniques. All other materials are included in the workshop. 

$35 for decorating skills and ingredients as well as two 7” cake layers

Create a fresh flower arrangement inside of a fresh pumpkin.  You will have the option of using an orange or white pumpkin and will create an arrangement using fresh flowers, cattails, wheat, pinecones, eucalyptus, foliage, etc.  Make one for yourself or a friend! All materials are included in the workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own pruners if you prefer to work at your own pace.

$41 for one large pumpkin arrangement

Make your choice of four airplant hangers or vessels (airplants are included). You’ll drill, sand and finish your choice of hanging or tabletop airplant vessels. You can also paint geometric shapes on your pieces. We’ll also have magnets as another option. All materials (including plants) are included in this workshop.

$39 for 4 pieces with plants

Using fresh mini pumpkins in orange and white, you will create five floral arrangements using a glue gun to apply succulents, fresh or dried flowers, eucalyptus, foliage to the outside of the shell. All materials are included in the workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own pruners and/or glue gun if you prefer to work at your own pace
